Teacher of the Week
CE – GO?
The teacher of the week this week is Andrew Beegle. In
2006 Mr. Beegle graduated of Everett area high school, and
from Penn state in 2006 as well. He got his bachelor’s degree
in SESST (secondary social studies). In 2010 he decided to go
back to college, however this time it was online at Saint
Joseph’s University, and got his master’s degree in special
education. He is certified in mathematics (7-12), English and
language (7-12), and social studies (7-12). He also has 1 out
of 2 modules done at PA PECT for special education,
halfway to becoming certified in special education 7-12).
Mr. Beegle has said, his original plan was to get his
bachelor’s degree in education, then move on to Temple
Law School to become a practicing attorney. However,
when he started doing field work for teaching at Milton
Hershey School, he immediately became enamored with
the concept of educating the minds of tomorrow and thus,
started his journey into the world of education. -Emilee
Mrs. Maurer was very
appreciated at HHCS for
the 4 years that she was
here. However, our
school and community is
very capable of getting
back on our feet and
continuing to work hard.
It was quite a shocker
when the students and
staff were informed that
she had resigned from
CEO. In many people’s
opinion, our school will
succeed more and
more. Her leaving will
make the community
stronger and bring us all
together and the school
will hopefully be more
efficient in order to be
successful. Many will miss
her but people come
and go into and out of
our lives. Not one
individual is more
important than any other
individual. We look
forward, never
backwards.

Ask Mr. Stinger
Dear Mr. Stinger,
No one has asked me to the homecoming dance, but
there is a guy I want to ask. What should I do?
From, Dateless
Career Fair
Dear Dateless,
Recently the HHCS high
schoolers took a trip to the
Bedford Airport for a career
fair. This career fair was held
by the Bedford Chamber of
Commerce. Here, students
could walk around and
explore different job
opportunities or learn more
about the jobs they are
interested in. More than 15
different businesses get
together and share all their
pros to working at their job.
Alleghany college of
Maryland, Walmart, REI and
even Waterworks
photography are some of
the jobs that were there.
Getting different businesses
together for high schoolers to
see is a great idea because
they can see all the different
opportunities that are
actually out there. And some
high schoolers can even look
more into the job they are
striving to be in. Many of our
students have enjoyed
attending the career fair and
have learned more about
what they want to be
because of the career fair.
If you want to go with this boy, ask him! The worst he can
do is say no, if you end up going alone you will have a
great time no matter what. Hang out with your friends and
you will forget you didn’t even have a date.
Dear Mr. Stinger,
I’m falling behind on my class work already, what should I
do?
From, procrastinator
Dear Procrastinator,
If you want to catch up on your work you should ask your
teacher if you can have all of the work you need to
makeup. Then, dedicate as many nights as it takes to
complete your work. To prevent from falling behind in the
future, set aside about an hour and a half to an hour each
night to work on your homework and/or projects.
