TARGET AUDIENCE: Administrators, Teachers, and School Staff
DESCRIPTION: Participants will be informed on how to communicate STAAR academic standards
during community meetings and STAAR informational sessions to parents. This workshop gives
parents a basic understanding of STAAR requirements and scoring, promotion standards by grade
level, tested skills, and how to help students prepare at home. Parents also review actual STAAR
questions to become more familiar with state assessments.
