advertisement
For students 19 and over studying a further education course i.e. Access, Diplomas, ESOL etc.
If you are thinking of studying a further education course at City College, money is often a concern.
We have many ways of helping depending on your circumstances.
Fees
Tuition, registration & exam fees are often the biggest worry. Fee remissions may be available if
you are on a government funded course & receiving one of the following benefits:
 Job Seeker’s Allowance
 Work-related Employment & Support Allowance (ESA)
Fees may also be remitted if you are unemployed, studying a vocational course (and intending to
progress into work) and in receipt of one of the following benefits: Council Tax Benefit, Housing
Benefit, Income Support, ESA (work related), Working Tax Credit and Pension Credit. This also
applies if you are the partner of someone receiving one of these benefits and you are unemployed.
NB: If you are 24 or over and studying on a level 3 or 4 course, these fee remissions do not apply.
(See 24+ Advanced Learning Loan section below).
Under the following schemes, fees can also be remitted on government funded courses. Eligibility
will be determined by our Enrolment team at the time of your enrolment.
