the office for more information.
1. All birds shall have been owned for at least 30 days. No birds will be accepted that have been
purchased and brought in just for exhibiting at the fair.
2. A separate exhibit shall be entered if exhibiting in both OPEN & YOUTH classes.
3. All birds shall be a recognized breed except meat classes.
4. Poultry judges use the American "Standard of Perfection" publication as a guide to judging all poultry.
5. An entry in this department does not guarantee an award. If in the opinion of the superintendent &
judge, the exhibit is not worthy, no premium will be awarded, regardless of number of entries in a class.
6. Game birds include pheasants. Birds should be at least 4 months old except in meat classes.
7. There is one educational poster display per breed of bird per exhibitor (i.e. American, Asiatic, English,
Mediterranen, etc. (Classes for cock, cockerel, hen or pullet do not apply).
8. Educational display shall contain, at a minimum, the breed, age, a front view and side view photo of
the bird or waterfowl and a separate printed page, less than 100 words, of additional information about
the project for the judge.
9. Fitting and Showing classes will be replaced with INTERVIEW JUDGING. (One takes their project to a
judge to explain the project, and to answer the judge’s questions. This may include questions about
health, feeding, care, diseases that may affect your bird or waterfowl, etc.)
