Student Leadership Team Application
“From him [Jesus Christ] the whole body, supplied and built up by joints and ligaments, attains
a growth that is of God. He constantly makes available in his body, which is the church, gifts of
ministries through which, by his power, we provide each other with the helps needed for
salvation so that, doing the truth in love, we may in all things grow into him who is our
head.” Lumen Gentium #7
Thank you for considering a student leadership role in the Ithaca College Catholic
Community. This is an opportunity to be a servant leader on campus. Our community is
focused on journeying with the students, faculty, and staff of Ithaca College as they strive to
grow in love and service for others. We primarily seek to provide opportunities for spiritual
development, community building, and social justice education and awareness that are informed
by the values and traditions of the Catholic Faith.
Our ministry team works closely with student leaders to serve our community and
support them in implementing the programs and events that they are strongly passionate about.
In the past we have had student leaders who have developed prayer groups, retreats, planning
social events, and engaging in service opportunities both locally and internationally. This is a
wonderful opportunity to utilize your God given gifts and develop new ones.
It is our hope that you will prayerfully consider whether or not you feel called to serve as
a leader within the Ithaca College Catholic Community. Below you will find descriptions of the
various positions on the student leadership team with their particular responsibilities. There is
also a list of general responsibilities that all members of the student leadership team are expected
to fulfill.

are required to attend our bi-monthly leadership meetings on Sundays at 2:30.

about it with friends and family in order to spread the Catholic ideals that we all hold
dear.
●
Balance your leadership role with your coursework – Members of the student
leadership team are by definition student leaders! While your commitments to the
Ithaca College Catholic Community are important, we expect your first commitment to
be towards your school work.
