Resolved: Motion carried- Minutes of September 11th, 2014 are approved.
Public Comment:
Ellen King Rogers- KGLT Station Manager- KGLT is the 47 year old, 12,000 watt music station
on the MSU campus. It is rated #3 of 18 stations in the Gallatin Valley. KGLT is 91.9 and
97.1FM Bozeman and the MSU Campus, 98.1 in Helena, 89.5 Livingston, and 107.1 in
Mammoth Hot Springs and parts of Yellowstone Park. KGLT has an operations budget presented
yearly to ASMSU and also receives grants for growth including programming, digitizing,
archiving, new equipment and signals. A yearly independent Audit required by Corporation for
Public Broadcasting and is underway now.










3 apprentice classes per year: largest ever happening now and next class almost full.
86 dj’s with biggest apprentice class ever.
Bullock: public service announcements for 1st Lady Lisa Bullock, MT and
Superintendent of Education Denis Juneau for Montana Food Bank Network with
Montana Team Nutrition Program;
Free Apps for Roku, IPhone, Android; College Radio Day Fund Drive mentors and in a
radio documentary;
School of Business Senior Research Practicum; “Tellin Ellen” and “Indie Chill Wave”
and “Chrysti the Wordsmith” on NPR stations in Billings and Missoula;
Produced at KGLT, Montana Medicine Show has a book at Country Bookshelf and on
Amazon;
Safe Zone Training for GM;
Service Excellence Training;
Alumni link for sustainers;

Mains- Asking for volunteers for Spirit Program’s Homecoming BBQ (25 needed) and
Bonfire (15 needed that evening and 5 the following morning for cleanup)
Birky- Chapman and Birky met with Dean of EHHD, looking to form a Student Councillook out for new resolution in the make.

Cowles- move to add Finance Board and Funding Board appointments to new business.

Appointments to Finance Board and Funding Board:
o Haskell- move to approve all applicants to appointed positions. (Seconded)
o Cowles- gave summary of each applicant to each appointed position.
o Vote: 18-0-1 (Rowe abstained)
o Resolved: Applicants are approved to recommended boards.
Administration Reports:





Student Body President Destini French: Absent- attending MAS and BOR meetings in
Billings, MT
o President Dana Dale on behalf of President Destini French and Vice President
Jordan Garceau- We would like to congratulate Garrett Langford on accepting the
State Legislature Director and Student Lobbyist. Comments and concerns directed
to executive team.
Student Body Vice President Jordan Garceau: Absent- attending MAS and BOR
meetings in Billings, MT
Business Manager Katrina Wilhelm: none
Senate President Dana Dale: Ad Hoc lists are out, contact information coming. Liaise
programs are assigned, please introduce yourself. EHHD seat is being advertised now.
Homecoming starts Monday, please volunteer and/or attend.
Senate Vice President Billy Dove: Commended everyone on their work. Quorum now
present for Finance Board and Funding Board.
