Vision Statement: what is the purpose of the arts integration program at our school?
At Fort Hunt Elementary School an arts integration curriculum creates a vibrant atmosphere of learning
that enhances the intellectual, physical, and emotional development of each child. Arts learning allows
children to CREATE, INQUIRE AND CONNECT to themselves, each other, cultures, and the world.
Through this creative process children develop:
* intellectual curiosity
* tools for collaboration, evaluation, and reflection
* higher level thinking skills
* appreciation of the arts
Goal #1:
- Fifty percent of our instructional staff will enroll in a CETA course or workshop in the 2012-2013 schoolyear.
