SMMANA Area meeting minutes
7/26/15
Attendance: Dan D, Alice D, Scot R, Arvilla A, Tanya I, Amber B, Destiny K, Josh D, Angie P, Martin P,
Mary R, Linda S, Marianne F, Andrea S, Don D, Lisa B.
Opened with serenity prayer, 12 traditions and service prayer.
Minutes read and accepted.
Treasurers report: 06-01-15 $ 412.40 balance, 06-04-15 $-70.00 dance, 06-16-15 $101.26 group
donation. 07-26-15 $443.66 balance. Phone bill and area donation not paid/sent as of yet. Check for
region to be sent with Josh D. Checking balance$ 303.54 Savings balance $228.00
Committee reports:
H and I: H and I went surprisingly well! I am the new chair and Josh D. as co-chair and Amber B. as the
secretary. Thank you for stepping up. We decided as a group to place an order for literature to have
some always on hand. We also decided as a group to meet once a month. We are planning a H and I
workshop for September, location to be determined. We will be building a list of all who have been
approved and qualified/trained for H and I service. We will be bringing a basic text to the pig roast as a
additional fundraiser for H and I.
PI/PR: Meeting on June 27th, 2015. Attendance included Angie P, and Lisa B. Printed NA posters for
poster drive and prepared them to be disturbed. Discussed creating a checklist/chart for posters to keep
track of where they have been distributed and by whom. Angie P volunteered to make the checklist/
chart. Checklist/chart were created for both meeting lists and posters. Scheduled next PI/PR meeting
for September 12th, 2015 @ 4pm. In loving service, Angie P.
Group reports:
Chosen Few: Chosen Few is doing well. Picked up Monday nights 7:00-8:00 meeting time. &th tradition
is falling slightly but relevant to last summers at this time. In loving service, Josh D.
Eouts: Numbers and seventh have been constant. Eouts had had to find a new location as the
commonwealth building is under construction our new location will be at First Presbyterian church 729
W. Michigan Ave. Jackson, MI 49201. In loving service, Dan D.
Work the steps and live: The work the steps and live group of NA is doing well with 15-20 addicts
attending regularly. There are no donations at this time. In loving service, Martin P.

A new way to live: A new way to live group of NA continues to remain steady in attendance with an
average of 8-12 addicts attending regularly. No donation at this time. In loving service, Kasey W.
Back to sanity: We need support. There are 2 active home group members. We are hoping to pass the
hat for service commitments as it is felt that no onde person should hold all positions. In loving service,

Courage to change: In need of support. Questioning need for Saturday meeting in Adrian. In loving

Old business: Arvilla was added to bank account. World website-old meetings- whose job is it to
update-discussion ensued.

Dan D. Changed EOUTS meeting location and times need updates in meeting list asap request to be
added now. Management at commonwealth building ok with signs that state meetings have changed
location.
Marianne F request to remove Adrians meetings with no attendance from meeting list. Monday miracles
do happen and Friday and Mondays meetings.
Motion to take off meeting sheet, motion second consensus, Arvilla opposed, GSR to vote, motion
passed.
H and I request for litature $250.00-agreed
Josh D. request for hotel/gas money for region-agreed
Next meeting September 27th, 2015. H and I at 2:30 Area to follow at 4:00pm @ Angie P’s house.
