Sort of a slow week among our exes but they are always good weeks. I guess everyone is relaxing before the income tax grind sets in. We used to get all our forms and a book of instructions the week after the New

Year started, but now we have to scrounge around to get all of them.

You can also get them on line and I even fill mine out on line and then print them out and they are ready to go. Just a real hastle. What am I talking about? I haven't even taken my Christmas tree down or put away the rest of the holiday things and here I am talking about income taxes.

Our condolences to the family of Jose Louis Ramirez, Class of 1969 of

Taylor who passed away December 31, 2014. He is from a large family, all ex-students, and we know he will be lovingly missed by all.

Guess what?? Gerald Niemtschk, Class of 1968 and wife, Pat, are now

GREAT grandparents. A baby boy, Keelan Thomas Ford, was born to John and Chelsey Niemtschk Ford, daughter of Douglas Niemtschk, Class of 1987 and his wife of Andover, Kansas. Our congratulations to all of them.

We have received many great donations in memory of Ronnie Becker, Class of 1963, so we will be giving another scholarship in his memory this

May. This is the 5th year this scholarship will be given and it is such a nice way to memorialize a loved one. They are as follows:

Sister, Betty Becker Davis, Class of 1960 of Irving; Dennis and sister, Linda Becker Lugg, Class of 1965 of Aransas Pass; Keith and

Alisha Davis, nephew; exes son and nephew, Chris and Rose Becker; exes daughter and niece, Marty and Stacy Becker Irwin. Our many, many thanks to all these nice folks.

Our condolences go out to the family of exes dad, Weldon Puckett, who passed away December 25, 2014 in Winnie L. Nursing Home in Cameron. We know he will be lovingly missed.

The second and last installment of the article on Dawg Dynasty by Trey

Felton, Class of 1996 was even better than the first installment, if that is possible. There were pictures of Trey, Coach Don Cowan, Twone

Simmons, Class of 1997 of Taylor running with the ball during a game; and Rahja Roman, Class of 1996 of Fort Worth lifting the Bulldogs third state championship trophy in 1995, their 2nd in a row. If you didn't see the article, it will be on display at Homecoming on October 10,

2015. Do mark your calendars and plan to attend.

I've visited with Angie Schneider Becker, Class of 1965 several times this past week. She was sending out thank you notes and notices to families of memorials given in a loved ones name. What would we do without her. Thank you, Angie, for all you do.

We had a call from that sweet Nettie Dee Beard Harper, Class of 1942 trying to get in touch with Bruce Phillips, Class of 1948 of San

Antonio, after the death of his sister. As we don't keep phone numbers, we couldn't help her. Well, I was rummaging around through some of our exes "stuff" and what do you know! There was Bruce's phone number. I e-mailed it to Nettie Dee and hoped it wasn't too late. The Lord works in mysterious ways.

We had our usual nice phone call from Clyde "Poly" Poldrack, Class of

1955 of Cedar Creek to wish us a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

He never forgets us and we are so happy that he doesn't because that usually just makes our day when he calls.

We finally got a visit in with Brandon Daniell, Class of 1994 of Cypress and his family on New Year's Eve. He and his family were here for a visit. Sweet family. Brandon received the Class of 1941 Memorial

Scholarship. The Class of 1941 had a reunion back in 1994, their 50th reunion and took up a collection in memory of those in their class who had passed away and gave this scholarship. What a nice thing to do.

We have a few people still listed on our "Lost" list that might have passed away. Does anyone know anything about Mattie Clement, Class of

1929 last known in Centennial, Colorado; B. Torrence Ferguson, Class of

1930 last known in Pasadena, Texas; Dorothy Maddox Williams, Class of

1930 last known in Houston; Wm. Clifton Reaves, Class of 1931 last known in Pasadena, Texas; Leonard I. Wilson, Jr., Class of 1931 last known in Harlingen; and Dorothy Nell Camp Flick, Class of 1931 last known in Houston.

Surely someone knows something about these folks. A death date or their where abouts. We sure would like to know so we can add that information to our rosters.
