Rice :

Farmers are advised to spray 5% salt solution on standing crop which is ready for harvest to prevent sprouting of seed.

Cotton:

Drain the water from the fields

A booster dose of 30kg urea and 15 kg muriate of potash per acre is recommended in low lying areas and farmers are advised to do topping in fields.

Foliar application of 2% urea/ 2%DAP/ 2% KNO

Under cyclonic conditions for control of wilt/rot soil drenching with carbendazim or benomyl @ 1g/l. is recommended.

For the control of bacterial blight prophylactic sprays with copper oxy chloride @ 3g/

+ streptocycline 100mg /l of water.

Pulses:

The rabi blackgram/greengram are in early vegetative stage.

Iron chlorosis can be corrected by spraying ferrous ammonium sulphate @ 5g+ 0.5 g citric acid /l of water.

With help of these rains farmers can take up sowing of chickpea.
