Find the Canadian data you are looking for right now! Stats Link Canada's
Source Lists are a database of over 24,000 references to free / low cost
Canadian statistics. It is compiled and maintained by GD Sourcing. It does not
include actual data but rather information on the exact Internet address,
newspaper article or CANSIM http://goo.gl/CJz5d6 table where you can find
the data you are looking for. It is a tool for locating relevant, current and
Canadian statistics. The advantage of Stats Link Canada Source Lists is that
they save you time and money.
Statistics Canada, produces statistics that help Canadians better understand
their country—its population, resources, economy, society and culture. In
addition to conducting a Census every five years, there are about 350 active
surveys on virtually all aspects of Canadian life.
Industry Canada’s website is a comprehensive source of Canadian market and
business information. There are several hundred thousand documents
available.
If you have a Municipal Public Library card, you have access to all the Region’s
Libraries and Electronic Resources where you can access many different

Business Statistics (Oshawa & Whitby), PCensus (Whitby)
Kompass is a comprehensive B2B database, with more than 4 million
international and domestic companies listed, which link buyers and sellers
worldwide. Promote your activities on Kompass and reach domestic and
international buyers searching for your specific products or services.
The Kompass site includes global company listings, a guided search on a
unique product classification and company profiles offering a full view of each
company's activity, products and services, trade names, executives and board
members. You will also find several useful tools such as RFQs (Requests for
Quotation), Tenders Via Kompass - Public Tenders from the European Union.
These are estimates of future populations based on historical growth trends,
births, deaths, and migration. Projections may have a higher degree of error
than population estimates and are available based on Health Areas. These
areas have been created for the delivery of health services but they can be
used to gauge population demands of your target market.
A third population concept important for a business plan is the immigration
that can influence a target market. Countries that provide changing populations
may impact your target area for language, education, skills, and spending
habits. Information on immigration can be found on the website.
