20 spellings in your
Spelling Journal – you
need to practise these at home.
You will also practise these in
school and will be tested by a
partner on a weekly basis. You
could try looking for “hot spots” within
your words and just learning those
difficult parts.
Human Response to Adversity
We are about to begin our new social studies unit “Human Response to Adversity” which includes looking at World
War 2 as an example of a time of wide scale adversity. Spend some time exploring this page –

Writing Task
Handwriting
We are about to begin a unit of Historical
Fiction writing during which you will write
and illustrate your own historical fiction
story. Begin jotting ideas for a short story on
the ideas pages of your writer’s notebook.
Many children in the class have extra
handwriting homework.
Practise your typing using;

Practice each letter pattern for 3 lines;

then copy the sentence once.
