WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET PARKING
PLACES (AMENDMENT 12) ORDER 2014
Notice is hereby given that KENT COUNTY COUNCIL has made the above named Order under
sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 3(2), 4(1) and (2), 32(1), 35(1), 45, 46, 49 and 53 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Officer of
Police in accordance with Paragraph 20 of Schedule 9 to the Act:
The effect of this Order will be to introduce a prohibition of waiting at any time on the following lengths:
Road Name
Distance
Chestnut Street
(1) On the north side
(a) from a point in line with the boundary of the 1 Florence Cottages
and the Tudor Rose Public House, for a distance of 89 metres in an
easterly direction;
(b) between points 107 metres and 125 metres east of the
boundary of 1 Florence Cottages and the Tudor Rose Public
House.
(2) On the south side, from a point in line with the boundary of 1
Florence Cottages and the Tudor Rose Public House, for a
distance of 170 metres in an easterly direction.
Maidstone Road, Danaway
Dental Close
On the southeast side
From a point 10 metres northeast of the north-eastern kerbline of
Oak Close, Danaway, to a point 10 metres southwest of the southwestern kerbline of Westfield Gardens.
On both sides, from the western kerbline of Wises Lane for a
distance of 15 metres in a westerly direction.
Hilton Drive
On the eastern side of the road, between points 10 metres and 25
metres south of the centre of the Clive Road junction.
Manor Grove
(1) On the north-eastern/north-western side, from a point 5 metres
southeast of the boundary of 93/95 Manor Grove, to a point 3
metres northeast of the northern building line of 4 Manor Grove
(2) On the south-western/western side, from a point 5 metres
southeast of the boundary of 93/95 Manor Grove, to a point in line
with the southern building line of 62 Manor Grove.
Sheerstone, Iwade
(1) On the western side, from a point in line with the boundary of
8/10 Sheerstone, for a distance of 30 metres in a southerly
direction.
(2) On the north and south side, from the western kerbline of
Sheerstone for a distance of 25 metres in westerly direction.
Langley Road
On the north-eastern side, between points 15 metres northeast and
southwest of the centre of the Trinity Road junction.
Trinity Road
On both sides, from the north-western kerbline of Langley Road for
a distance of 15 metres in a north-westerly direction.
West Ridge
On the southern side, between points 4.5 metres west and 5.5
metres east of the boundary of 9/11 West Ridge.
Wises Lane
(1) On the eastern side
(a) from the junction with London Road for a distance of 54 metres
in a southerly direction;
(b) from the junction with Grove Park Avenue for a distance of 29
metres in a southerly direction;
(c) from a point 7 metres north of the northern kerbline of the
northern junction with Brier Road to a point 7 metres south of the
southern kerbline of the northern junction of Brier Road;
(d) from a point in line with the boundary of 65/67 Wises Lane to a
point in line with the southern boundary of 71 Wises Lane.
(2) On the western side
(a) from the junction with London Road, southwards to a point in
line with the boundary of 10/10a Wises Lane;
(b) between points 13 metres north and 13m south of the centre of
the junction of Dental Close.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting at the following times and locations:1

the rear boundary of 1 Dental Close.

A copy of the proposed Order, which comes into operation on 19th January 2015, together with an explanatory
statement and a map showing the lengths of roads concerned may be inspected during normal office hours at County
Hall, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1XQ or at the offices of the Ashford Highway Depot, Javelin Way, Ashford, Kent, TN24 8AD.
Anyone may, by application to the High Court within 6 weeks of the date of publication of
this Notice, challenge the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in them on the
grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984,
or any instrument made thereunder, or that there has been a failure to comply with any
statutory requirement in relation to the Orders.
