Donna Watson Workshop – “Personal Expression – A Design Approach”
“Personal Expression – A Design Approach”
February 16-18, 2016; 9am-4pm
$375 – Limit 16 students!
This workshop is for all types of artists - whether they paint representational, abstract or non-objective. It is also for all types of
mediums - including watercolor, acrylic, gouache, encaustic, oil, collage or mixed media. The emphasis is on searching for personal
content and style, design and composition—-three steps to fabulous art. Participants will work on composition, design elements
and principles, and explore personal, unique aspects of their work. They will examine content, creativity and personal expression.
There will be slide talks, assignments, exercises, individual and group discussions and critiques. By the end of the workshop the
artist will have a stronger understanding of their strengths and a good direction they can continue in their own studios. By
emphasizing certain elements and principles, and choosing more personal content, their work will become more unique, and
successful.
Donna is a mixed media painter and collage artist who has worked with many different mediums and styles of painting. She has
signature membership in AWS and NWS, and is a juror and workshop instructor all over the U.S. and Canada.
