Qualifications:

Minimum one year of clinical experience with children with developmental
disabilities, autism spectrum disorders (ASD), emotional impairment and/or
intellectual disabilities.

Strong assessment / diagnostic / treatment planning skills. Experience with autism
spectrum disorders/ ADOS test administration preferred OR willingness to learn
and specialize in ASD.

Must provide clearance that there is no record and/or convictions as a perpetrator
of child abuse/and or neglect on the State of MI Child Abuse/Neglect Central
Registry.

Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, insurance and a clear
driving record.
Education:
M.A., M.S., M.Ed. from an accredited psychology training program
Certification/
Licensure:
Psychologist-Limited License for State of Michigan or qualifications needed to apply
for a Limited Licenses (LLP or TLLP). Meet and maintain eligibility criteria for a Child
Mental Health Professional as outlined in the MDCH Qualifications Guidelines.
Responsibilities: 
Complete psychological evaluations (ADOS & interview / ADI-R;
developmental/cognitive & adaptive behavior).

Conduct psychological evaluation feedback sessions with families. As part of the
team assessment process, generate treatment plans and determine best services
for the child.

Work with interns and other staff on the coordination and formulation of treatment
plans, based on assessments completed by all the disciplines.

Assist with clinical database management and evaluation of treatment outcomes.

Utilize the ICD-9 and DSM-IV to determine diagnosis.

Develop a Person/Family Centered treatment plan.

Complete all required paperwork and psychiatric referrals according to agency and
program deadlines.

Collaborate and maintain a positive relationship with clients, interns, agency staff,
and community resources.

Maintain current and accurate records of client contacts.

Must take team approach in dealing with case responsibilities.

Participate in weekly supervision and scheduled staff meetings.

Attend relevant workshops to enhance clinical skills. (25 hours required annually).

Develop and follow an Individual Work Plan in conjunction with immediate
supervisor.

Consult and conference with assigned Psychiatrist to coordinate mental health
services.

Exhibit a Culturally Competent approach with consumers and staff members.


Arrange and follow through with referrals for families.
Maintain case records and complete all forms within the agency guidelines and
deadlines at a compliance rate of 95% or higher.
Participate in at least 1 hours of supervision weekly.
Will complete all internal and external trainings required to perform job responsibilities.
Complete and submit progress notes within 24 hours of providing the services at a rate
of 99% or higher
Complete and submit Service Activity Logs within 24 hours of providing the services at
a rate of 99% or higher
Completed Service Activity Logs will reflect an accurate portrayal of services provided
and whom they were provided to 97% of the time or higher.
Maintain professional standards and conduct while interacting with client and staff with
less than 4 documented complaints from client or staff yearly.
