QUESTION 12 – answer this question in the spaces below.
Dr TT Masibuko is a cosmetic surgeon who operates from Sandton Clinic. He specialises in
Breast Augmentation and Botox shots. He is also a workaholic and can perform up to 90
‘operations’ per day.
At least 20 of these operations must be for Breast Augmentation and at least 30 for Botox in
order to satisfy his daily quota. He performs as many operations as possible and at least as many
Botox operations as Breast Augmentations but not more than twice as much.
a)
Write down the 5 constraint equations, as inequalities, where x  number of
Breast Augmentations and y  number of Botox operations, and x, y 0 .
