About the role
The Historic Cheshire Churches Preservation Trust is a charity that grants
money to historic churches of any denomination in the Diocese of Chester to
assist them with general repairs and restoration. The role of Fundraiser will
play an integral part in generating the funds that support our work, by
arranging direct-mail initiatives to organisations and individuals, meeting
major donors, helping to organise events, and producing both web-based
and hard-copy publicity material.
You will have a significant involvement in local fundraising events and
making them successful. You should be able to identify and develop new
fundraising opportunities, and to enhance relationships with existing
supporters and donors. You need to have a real passion for fundraising and
an interest in the maintenance and preservation of historic church buildings.
You will also need to attend Trustees’ Meetings and the Development
Committee as required.
A proven fundraising background and excellent communications skills are
required in the role.
This role is home-based in the Cheshire area, of 10 hours per week and there
is a basic salary of £4,160 plus bonus of 5% of funds raised. Interested
candidates must be based in or around the Cheshire area.
