Biome In-Class Project
We will be working together to complete an in-class project to show our knowledge of
ecology in our worldly biomes. You will need to select one of the four choices below.
You will find more specific details for each project on Ms. Lay’s website. One copy will
be handed out to each student but if this copy is misplaced, all information can be
found online.
Each choice will include the following: extreme details (visual or descriptive) of each
terrestrial and aquatic biome, examples of abiotic and biotic factors, identify two
examples of the five types of consumers, a food web including a minimum of ten
organisms (including the sun), three symbiotic relationships (at least two different types),
Choice 1 – Children’s Book
o Create a children’s fact book that details all seven terrestrial biomes and
three aquatic biomes.
o Drawing/Coloring will be required.
o No Technology required.
Choice 2 – Journal
o Create detailed journal entries of your visits to all seven terrestrial biomes
and three aquatic biomes.
o No drawing/coloring required.
o Technology will be required.
Choice 3 – PowerPoint
o Create a detailed PowerPoint presentation that details all seven terrestrial
biomes and three aquatic biomes.
o No drawing/coloring required.
o Technology will be required.
Choice 4 – Travel Brochure
o Create a detailed travel brochure for each of the seven terrestrial biomes
and three aquatic biomes.
o Drawing/Coloring optional. (You must choose to hand-create or use tech.)
o Technology is optional. (You must choose to hand-create or use tech.)
