Job/Position Summary: The Regional Business Development Manager is responsible for
selling the full suite of Manage Mobility telecommunication services to Education accounts. The
Regional BDM will manage the entire sales process for each account, to include prospecting,
qualifying, overcoming objections, negotiating, preparing RFPs, and closing sales. In addition
to selling directly to the customers, the Regional BDM will also be responsible for increasing
sales through Manage Mobility Channel Partners. The Regional BDM will be responsible for
building relationships with the Partner Sales Representatives, Solutions Engineers, Strategic
Opportunity Managers and other personnel within the Partner who can increase sales and close
business. The Regional BDM will assist the Partner in identifying prospects, qualifying them
and ensuring the Partner Channel personnel are fully trained and understand the full suite of
Education products. This position will be responsible for Quota achievement for new wins
focused on Wireless Campus Manager solution primary, but will also have quota related to other
telecommunication solutions for education such as M2M (fleet management), Expense
Management, MDM, staging and logistics, and other wireless solutions.
Key Accountabilities/Essential Functions:









Attain Monthly Sales Quotas
Prospect for new customers, upsell services to existing accounts within the assigned
territory and own entire sales process to contract signature.
Outbound daily calls to build and maintain relationships with the Manage Mobility
Channel Partner
Train and Educate Channel Partner personnel on the Manage Mobility products and how
to position the products with the customer.
Qualify opportunities, present Manage Mobility overview and thorough Product Demo
presentations
Consistent follow up on opportunities through the funnel stages
Prepare meeting agenda and include proper subject matter expert to help close sale
Run sales meeting and present value deck, demo software, respond to requests for
proposal (RFP), prepare pricing and contract proposal, and other strategic selling tasks
Work with internal teams for onboarding and smooth implementation

Utilize SFDC to report on calls made, contact information, opportunities, pending
meetings, orders sold against quota MTD

Required Qualifications (Education, Experience, Qualifications):







10+ years sales experience
A strong understanding of the education vertical and have a working knowledge of eRate,
PARCC, Smarter Balanced, Common Core, and education vertical specific acumen,
Microsoft Suite experience (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
SFDC experience
Telecom experience and knowledge (wireless preferred)
Excellent Communication and Presentation skills
Cold call and meeting setting
Working Conditions:
Occasionally work after hours or on weekends, as well as travel to customers, vendors, trade
shows or customer visits. This requirement is to maintain communication with clients and the
Sprint organization.
