Corina Răceanu, Poles of cultures project director, Intercultural Institute of Timișoara
Has 24 years experience in the cultural sector, specializing in cultural management,
project management and cultural policies and in sectors as cultural tourism; youth; social
economy. Ms Răceanu has 10 years experience of teaching as an associate professor at
several vocational faculties in Timisoara; providing trainings and consultancy on cultural
issues in Romania and abroad as freelance. Since 2004 she is a member of “Team Europe
Romania” and a member of the “A Soul for Europe” initiative. Working for the
Intercultural Institute of Timișoara since 2008 as project manager in fields such as
culture, education, tourism and youth.
Nico Herzig, Policy advisor at Provincie Limburg (the Netherlands)
Policy advisor and networking specialist at the department of culture (subjects: creative
industry, cultural entrepreneurship, landscape and events, euregional and international
contacts). Past: project management for more than 50 visits from (members) of the Royal
Dutch Family, big visits as Africa Congres (6 Presidents present), Primeminister and other
celebrities (f.i. German President, Eurocommissioner).
Sonja Troisfontaine, Senior advisor at Provincie Limburg (the Netherlands)
Senior advisor at the department of culture. From 2014 project leader EGKS (Euregional
and international collaboration in the field of culture). Further focus areas: policy
framework Culture 2013-2016, international contacts, intangible heritage, creative
industry and Cultural Biography Limburg. Past: project leader Maastricht & Euregion –
European Capital of Culture, one of the founding fathers of the BV Limburg (cultural
entrepreneurship), project leader familycoaching Limburg, author of the book ‘Dwars
door alle verbanden’ and legal advisor.
Bojana Subašić & Bogdana Opačić, researchers at the Center for Study in Cultural
Development in Belgrade (Serbia)
Have worked on studies and researches that deal with cultural policy, sociology of
culture, cultural participation and cultural tourism issues. Main projects they coordinated
and participated in are: Local cultural policies, Cultural policies in Serbia, Cultural
development strategy of the City of Valjevo, Cultural potentials and resources mapping
of Serbia, Values and cultural activism of high school students, Culture of aging and
seniors in culture etc. They have participated in the Poles of Cultures project of crossborder cooperation between Serbia and Romania as a team for research of cultural habits
and needs of citizens of the city of Pancevo and its cultural policy including the definition
of the Action plan of cultural development 2014-2015.
