Students who already have a Lunch Pass DO NOT need a student I.D.
Girls, don't forget to sign-up to play Powder Puff football! The game will be held Friday,
September 25th. Sign-up on goimps.com. (only first 30 girls per grade). +Powder Puff also
needs coaches, 5 per grade. We also need male cheerleaders. Don't worry guy's, you will be
taught some cheers! Both coaches and cheerleaders need to sign-up on goimps.com,
beginning Tuesday, September 8th.
VOTING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT RIGHT & RESPONSIBILITY WE HAVE AS
CITIZENS. STARTING MONDAY AUGUST 31 TO SEPTEMBER 9 CARY WILL BE
CONDUCTING ITS FALL REGISTRATION DRIVE. ALL EIGHTTEEN YEAR OLD
STUDENTS ARE AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFIED TO REGESTER. IF YOU ARE 17
AND WISH TO REGISTER SEE COACH PARR IN ROOM 410 FOR QUALIFICATION
REQUIREMENTS. REGISTRATION FORMS CAN BE PICKED UP DURING SMART
LUNCH IN ROOM 410 OR IN THE STUDENT SERVICES OFFICE. ALL FORMS
MUST BE TURNED IN TO COACH PARR IN ROOM 410 BY THE END OF SCHOOL
ON SEPTEMBER 9.
Attention all former JROTC cadets who are not taking JROTC classes again this year. If
you still have any uniform items in your possession you need to return those to the JROTC
supply room no later than Sept 11th. If you have any questions, please come to the
JROTC office.
Attention all Junior Class Council Members: We will have a meeting afterschool in Mrs.
Loughridge's room (2128) today. Please be there by 2:30 and see Mrs. Loughridge in room
2128 or Mr. McCullough in room 2115 if you cannot attend.
Hello JUNIORS & SENIORS! Wondering about what you should should do after high
school or what electives you should take now? ASVAB Career Exploration Program can
help you! ASVAB testing will be given on Tuesday, September 22nd during first and second
periods in the Media Center. It will assess your knowledge, skills, aptitudes and
interests. Your results will help you plan for courses at Cary High and for college. You
must have passed Common Core Math I/ Alg I and you must be able to miss and make up
work for 1st – 2nd periods. Sign up THIS WEEK in Student Services, in CTE classrooms
or in ROTC classrooms, junior and senior English classes. We offer a limited number of
seats. Decide NOW; you MUST sign up soon!
SENIORS, if you would like to be considered for the school nomination for the MoreheadCain or Park Scholarship, please pick up a preliminary application from Student Services.
Completed applications MUST be returned to Student Services by noon TODAY.
Students: It's time to buy your yearbook! Through September the cost is only $70. Buy a
yearbook now!!!
Attention all swimmers and divers: Dryland practices will start this TOAY.
We will meet at 2:40pm on the track. Practices will be every Monday and Wednesday
afternoon until November. New athletes are welcome to participate! The only requirement
is having a physical on file. Please see Coach Ro in room 2206 if you would like to
participate.
Current sophomores interested in applying for Alpha Beta Club, stop by Ms. Watson's
room, 1019, to get an application. Applications will be due on Friday September 25th
before school!
There will be an interest meeting for any girl interested in playing lacrosse in the spring.
This meeting will take place during A Lunch in room 2128 TODAY.
There will be an information meeting about International Club today during B lunch.
Key Club will be meeting tomorrow right after school in the cafeteria. If you have not pick
up an application stop by 2107 or attend this meeting.
Mark your calendars Cary High School because on October 11th Key Club will be taking
students to Carowinds for an amazing day filled with rollercoasters, games and food. The
cost is only $76, which includes entrance fees, transportation, and a t-shirt. Pick up a club
application and Fally Rally form from Room 2107. Money is due by September 24th. Don’t
miss out on this opportunity to go to Carowinds!
NEW:
Club Unify will meet in 2103. If you are interested in working with Special Olympics, and
promoting inclusion throughout our school please attend during lunch.
Guitar Club will have their first meeting, Tuesday, September 15, during A lunch, in Room
2134. Bring your guitar and your friends.
The Environmental Club will meet during B lunch on today. Please bring money for dues.
All ladies interested in playing softball are reminded to sign-up for preseason workouts this
week in Coach Bass' room 2205.
Club Thrive: If you are interested in fun volunteer work/hours come out and join Club
Thrive – a club centered around helping those that are homeless. The interest meeting will
be held in Ms. Bass’ room -2103 the first half of lunch on Friday, September 11th.
We had a great response on first day of registration for Powder Puff Football. At this time
we have enough coaches for Sophmore and Senior teams. Freshman and Junior girls, we
need you to sign up! We need more male cheerleaders!
All those who have signed up for Basketball and Weight Training intramurals, there will
be a meeting on Friday during the beginning of SMART Lunch in the Main Gym with
Coach Johns. If you have any questions please see him.
Wed, Thurs and Fri.....vintage Cary Football jerseys will be on sale for $10 at the stadium
concessions during lunch!
Attention Seniors! If you are not taking English IV this semester, please plan to attend an
information session regarding college and career planning. These sessions are offered this
Thursday, Sept. 10, during A lunch in Room 1107 and Friday, Sept. 11, during A lunch in
the Student Services Career Center. You also are encouraged to attend Senior Parent Night
on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the auditorium.
Anyone interested in joining the Art Club, there will be an informational meeting today
during A Lunch in 3125.
