Reading Cafe
Reading Cafes are GREAT FUN!
The idea is, Parents and Carers come to school and are welcomed into the school hall (drinks and
biscuits will be waiting!) and everyone settles down for a good story.
Once the Class teacher has read the story to everyone, each Parent/Carer can choose to
complete a creative activity together related to the story or engage in a phonics/reading games
or activities.
At the end, there will be lots of sharing of ideas and celebrating each others’ creations.
These sessions are to provide a wonderful opportunity for us all to work together on a creative
project that will help support and accelerate your child’s reading.
