Rules
This tournament will be accredited with TBAL and all rules and regulations of TBAL will apply
Eligibility
This tournament is open to all juniors who are current TBAL registered bowlers, Who are bowling in a TBAL
scheduled in a TBAL registered Centre, Who are currently residing in the North Queensland region, Who have done
so for a period of 3 months immediately prior to closing date of championships.
Bowler Conduct
Competitors must be capable of conducting themselves in such a manner so as not to reflect negatively on TBAL,
TBAQ, NQJC or their City Association/Sub Committee or the sport of Tenpin Bowling. The Tournament Director has
the right to penalise bowlers for violations of the TBAL Code of Conduct. The yellow/red card system will be inforce
throughout this event.
Date of Championships
The Championships will be held at Tableland Bowl, Eclipse Drive Atherton.
Friday 3rd July and Saturday 4th July 2015.
Format
Bowlers will bowl in squads of 9 games. The order of “A”, “B” and “D” squads will be 3 games singles, 3 games of
doubles and 3 games of 4 man teams. “C” squad will join “B” squad for their teams and then bowl doubles and
singles. Each squad is limited to 5 teams. It expected that local bowlers fill squads “A” and “B” Local bowlers being
Cairns and Innisfail.
Averages to use
The current NQJC Year Book averages compiled as at 31st March 2015 will be the averages used for these
Championships. An average must be established over a minimum of 24 games in any TBAL league.
Bowlers without an Average
A bowler without a Year Book average must apply to the Tournament Coordinator for an average to be assigned. All
relevant information required by the Coordinator, to assign an average, must be supplied by the bowler. Application
must be made prior to closing date of entries
Replacements
Any change to the original submitted entry form must be reported to the Tournament Coordinator no later than 30
minutes prior to the relevant squad time. Every attempt must be made to find a replacement bowler within the
same average range
Multiple Participation
As there are limited squads available, multiple participation will not be possible. Except where it is found
necessary to fill a team in another squad or to fill a squad to a maximum of 5 teams.
All Events
All Events score will be the bowlers first score in Teams, Doubles and Singles
Masters Eligibilty
Qualifying for Masters will be their first 9 game championship entry result
Dress Code
All bowlers in these Tournaments will be required to wear a suitable length collared and sleeved shirt or a
recognised bowling shirt, socks/stockings, and (A) skirt/long dress shorts for females (B) dress
shorts/trousers for males. No denim, board shorts or loudmouth will be permitted.
Prize Fund
Payouts of Prize funds will be as per TBA schedule.
Smoking
The North Queensland Junior Championships and Masters events are
NON SMOKING events
Closing date of Entries
All entries must be accompanied by proof of full payment and must reach the Tournament Coordinator no
later than 1st July 2015. Payments must be made directly into the NQJC account.

Masters Eligibility
All bowlers must have completed an All Events score in order to qualify for a 2015 Masters Final. One
Masters qualifying is automatic with your 9 game Zone Championship entry. Bowlers with averages (boys
145 girls 135 and below) will automatically entered into the Restricted Masters, all bowlers above these
averages will be entered into the Open Masters. Should a bowler wish to nominate for both Masters then
an extra qualifying fee of $7.00 must be paid when checking in for your Squad.
Restricted Masters
This is a handicap Tournament bowled in two divisions (male and female) open to all junior bowlers who
comply with the eligibility clause whose year book average does not exceed 145 for males and 135 for
females. Handicap will be 100% of 200
Qualifying score for Restricted Masters will be the bowlers first All Events score, plus handicap. A tie for
15th position will be decided by the highest last game, plus handicap, bowled in their qualifying All Events.
Check in will be 8.00 am Sunday 5th July 2015, any bowler/s not checked in prior to this time will be
replaced by the first available reserve/s.
In each division, the finals will be the top 15 qualifiers who will bowl 6 games in 3 X 2 game blocks. A tie for
first, second or third places, will be decided on highest game plus handicap bowled.
Cost of Restricted Masters Final will be $50.00
Champion will receive: First place Trophy, Shirt, 50% of prize fund plus a free entry into the North Queensland
Junior Restricted Masters 2016 (if eligible). Second place will receive a trophy and 30% of prize fund. Third place
will receive a trophy and 20% of prize fund
Open Masters
This is a scratch tournament bowled in two divisions (male and female) and open to all junior bowlers who
comply with the eligibility clause.
Qualifying score for Open Masters will be the bowlers first All Events score. A tie for 15 th position will be
decided by the highest scratch game in their qualifying All Events.
Stage 1: The top 15 bowlers in each division from qualifying will bowl 6 games in 3 X 2 game blocks.
Stage 2: The top 8 bowlers from stage 1 will bowl 7 games of match play with bonus points (20 for win, 10
for draw and 0 for a loss) A tie for 8th position will be decided by the highest scratch game during stage 1.
Throughout this tournament all ties will be decided by the highest scratch game
Check in will be 1.00 pm Sunday 5th July 2015. Any bowler/s not checked in prior to this time will be
replaced by the first available reserve/s
Cost of open Masters finals will be $85.00
The champion will receive: First place trophy, shirt and 50% of prize pool also will have a free entry into
the 2016 North Queensland Junior Masters (if eligible) plus an automatic paid entry into 2016 Australian
Junior Open Masters (if eligible)
Second place will receive a trophy plus 30% of prize pool
Third place will receive a trophy plus 20% of prize pool
