UPTON VICTORY HALL LAWN TENNIS CLUB WIMBLEDON TICKET BALLOT 2013 – RULES AND EXPLANATION (1) The Cheshire Lawn Tennis Association has made available the following tickets on the days shown at the published prices. The tickets come in pairs so your entry is for 2 tickets :Monday 24th June – COURT 1 @ £40 X 2 = £80 Tuesday 25th June – Centre Ct @ 45 X 2 = £90 Tuesday 25th June – CENTRE CT @ £45 X 2 = £90 Tuesday 25th June – Court 3 @ £37 X 2 =£74 th th Thursday 27 June- CENTRE CT @£58 X2 = £116 Thursday 27 June – Court no.1 @ £50X 2 =£100 th Thursday 27 June – Court 2 @ £44 X 2 = £88 Friday 28th June – CENTRE CT @ £74X 2=£148 th th Friday 28 June – COURT NO. 2 @ £53 X 2 = £106 Saturday 29 June -COURT NO. 1 @ £62X 2 =£124 th Friday 5 July – CENTER CT @ £112 X 2= £224 Friday 5th July- Court 1 @£34x 2= £68 (2) Any member of the Tennis Club who is aged 9 or over and is also a Registered as a British Tennis Member (apply at:- www.lta.org.uk/Members/Membership) may apply for tickets in the Ballot. British Tennis membership is FREE. (3) Under the LTA rules only a member who is a fully paid member of a Tennis Club may enter the ballot and thus all applicants must have either (a) paid their subscriptions in full or (b) started a standing order by the Closing Date of the 25th April 2012 and followed the procedures as described on their bill. (4) The Closing Date for entry into the Ballot is Wednesday 24th April 2012. (5) The applications for entry into the Ballot can be submitted by post or by email but must be with the club by 17:00 on the 24th of April. Entry into the ballot is an indication that if successful then you must make immediate payment by Cheque, Cash or Bank Transfer on the draw night if you are successful. (6) If there are not enough entries to cover the tickets available then after the Main Ballot a Second Ballot will be held for all new applicants who attend on the night but have not submitted a ballot form in advance. (7) If there are more applicants than tickets then the Club will endeavour to obtain more tickets by applying to the Cheshire LTA for more tickets. (8) The Ballot will be held in the Club Pavilion on Friday 26th April starting at 20.00 hours prompt. (9) Applicants need to attend the Ballot night draw to win tickets or alternatively nominate a proxy in advance to attend with the ability to pay for the tickets on their behalf. (10)The winners will be required to pay for the tickets on the night of the draw by cheque, cash or immediate bank transfer. (11) The actual Ballot paper on the reverse side of this document provides a box for putting in the number of your choice. There are 12 tickets available and you can prioritise your preference of choice by listing your top preference as number 1 and descending to number 12. If you don`t want to go on certain days you can leave the “choice” box empty. (12) The draw will commence with number 1 preferences and if there is only one number 1 preference for a particular ticket then that person will get the ticket. If there is more than one number 1 preference then there will be a competitive ballot between the contestants and the winner will receive their ticket application and drop out of the Ballot as each member can only have one ticket. The losers will go back into the Ballot to compete for their lower preferences of tickets. (13) Once all the number 1 preferences have been accounted for the Ballot will proceed to the number 2 preferences and this procedure will continue down the scale of preferences until all the tickets available have been won. (14) The actual Wimbledon Tickets will be delivered to the Club by hand and each winner will have to collect their tickets personally and sign a Legal Document stating that they will abide by the conditions of sale and will personally use the tickets themselves and attend the Tournament. Only British Tennis Adult and Junior Members (aged 9 +) are entitled to be entered into the club ballot for tickets which are issued in pairs. Please insert your B.T.M.number below.
