Report
Patrols
PS 968 reports:
01/07/15 between 1530 x 1730
Wednesday 1st July 2015 - 1530 to 1730 hours - New Road Middlestown speed checks - on site
1600 to 1710 hrs - 2 * speeding offences by way of TOR - 1 * no mot offence - FPN - (this was the
JUNE 2 hrs)
PC 863 Laybourne reports:
07/07/15 between 1100 x 1400
On Tuesday the 7th of July I worked 3 hours on this Safe scheme (1100 x 1400) concentrating on
speeding concerns Stocksmoor Road Midgley re exceed 30 mph vehicle exiting and entering
Netherton.. 8 X Traffic Offence Reports were submitted to motorists, highest speed being local young
youth at 51 mph. Most offenders from Huddersfield Barnsley areas with varying age ranges.
PC 863 Laybourne reports:
08/07/15 between 1100 x 1200
On Wednesday the 8th of July I worked 1 hour on this scheme (1100 x 1200) .Tour spent on
Stocksmoor Road regarding vehicles exceeding 30 mph. 2 X Traffic Offence Reports were
submitted and 1 motorist verbally warned
PCSO 68 Priestley reports:
08/07/15 between 1600 x 1800
Between these times I patrolled:
Netherton village hall, New Road, Denby Grange, Smithy Lane, Emroyd woods. No youths nothing
of note.
PC4318 BAILEY reports,
12/07/15 between 1700 x 1900
Passing attention paid to EMROYD woods, Middlestown School, village hall in Netherton. Whilst in
Netherton I stopped and spoke to members of the public who were happy to talk to me.

PCSO 68 Priestley reports:
23/07/15 between 1300 x 1500
Between these times I patrolled:
Netherton village hall, Stoneycliffe Woods, Emroyd Woods, Smithy Lane area. I spoke to various dog
walkers in the area all very happy to see a Police patrolling the area. I spoke with one of the
Neighbourhood watch co-ordinators who was reassured with my presence. No youths or ASB in any
of the areas patrolled.
PCSO 938 Baker reports:
24/07/2015 between 1600 x 1800 hours
Between these hours I patrolled:
Denby Grange cricket club, New Road Cemetary, Emroyd wood, Coxley Wood and Netherton village
hall: Nothing of note, no youth's present at this time.
I did speak to a woman in Emroyd Wood who has stated that someone has been setting fires in the
wood, no other issues were mentioned.
PC 5147 Warden reports:
26/07/15 between 1500 x 1600
Between these times I patrolled:
Netherton village hall, New Road, Denby Grange, Smithy Lane, Emroyd woods.
Four youths spoken too in the stand at the cricket club smoking cigarettes out of the rain nothing else
of note.
PCSO 938 Baker reports:
30//07/2015 1300 x 1500 hours
Between these hours I patrolled:
Denby Grange sports club, Cemetary New Road, Emroyd Wood, Netherton village hall, nothing of
note no issues.

Crime
In June there was a total of eleven reported crimes. These included a theft from a motor vehicle at
the Old Wood Yard, Midgley where tools were stolen, a theft of a garden light at New Road,
Middlestown, a malicious communications on Netherfield Place, Netherton involving work colleagues,
and another on Netherton Lane where the victim has received a letter congratulating them on the
birth of their new child, and a breach of a restraining order on Netherton Lane, Netherton.
The other crime were all shed burglaries at the Upper Lane allotments, Netherton where tools were
stolen and at a farm on Upper Lane. For two of these offence the property was recovered nearby and
a suspect identified.
Anti-Social Behaviour
There were two reports made regarding bad parking on Bar Lane, Midgely, bad driving on Blacker
Lane, Netherton and some nuisance youths at a party on Oakland Road, Netherton.
