Junior After Prom Party
Parental Information and Permission Form
The Class of 2015 Junior Prom After-Party, “Spring Break” will be held on April 5 from 10:30pm
to 5am at Great Valley High School. Partygoers can choose from among various food and
entertainment offerings at several “locations,” including a casino (with play money), a rock club,
a coffee house, and an ice cream parlor, among others. Breakfast will be served before the end
of the party. Students attending the party will also be eligible to win some great prizes. This
evening is sure to be a smash hit!!!
The cost for each ticket to the After Prom Party is $15. All juniors are eligible and encouraged
to attend the After Prom Party. GVHS juniors do NOT need to attend the Junior Prom to be
able to attend the After Prom Party. However, if a GVHS junior does not attend the Junior Prom
the student cannot bring a guest (for example, a non-GVHS student guest or GVHS student
who is not a junior) to the After Prom. GVHS juniors who attend the Junior Prom with a guest
may bring that guest to the After Prom Party.
Please note that every student (GVHS and non-GVHS students) who attends the After Prom
Party MUST return their own Parent Permission slip (see attached) to either the GVHS office
“After Prom basket” or to the After-Prom Party ticket sales table during lunch periods by
Thursday April 3, 2014. Also, to help make the After Prom Party a memorable and pleasant
evening, please read and review the following information and rules about the Party with your
student. Both you and your student must sign your acknowledgment that you have done so on
the attached permission form:









Students will be subject to a security check upon arrival at the After Prom.
Prom-goers are encouraged to change their clothes before arriving at the After-Prom to
speed the check-in process. Students who cannot do so can bring a change of clothes
in a labeled bag to the After-Prom Party and change in designated areas before
checking in.
All bags of clothing brought to the party will be inspected. All coats must be checked on
arrival.
STUDENTS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO BRING ANY FOOD, BEVERAGES, CANS OR
BOTTLES to the After-Prom Party. Please leave all valuables at home!
No After Prom Party tickets will be sold at the door.
All students attending the After-Prom Party must arrive no later than 11:15pm. No one
will be admitted after 11:15. If students who registered to attend the After-Prom Party
have not arrived by that time, After-Prom registration volunteers will promptly contact the
student’s parent by phone.
Once admitted to the After-Prom Party, students will not be permitted to leave before
5am, unless signed out in person by the authorized person(s) listed on the permission
slip. Students who leave early cannot re-enter the party.
After-Prom Party chaperones will exercise their discretion in determining the need to
contact any student’s parents due to unusual circumstances involving the student.

and hold harmless the After prom Committee, and its members and volunteers, and the Great
Valley School District, and its officers, directors, agents, and employees, from any loss, damages,
or injuries that might occur in connection with or arising out of any of the events or activities at
the After-Prom Party. I give permission to take pictures of my son/daughter at the party which may
be used on the GVHS website. I understand that my son/daughter is not permitted to leave the
After Prom Party before it ends at 5am unless signed out by one of the following
parents/guardians.
