LOT 1. Print by Peter Rollinson: Bee on Flower 41cm x 30cm
Bee on purple flower. Stunning print with great detail.
LOT 2. Print by Peter Rollinson: Dyed wool, Isle of Harris
Isle of Harris, Outer Hebrides. Wool that has been dyed, using natural dyes, is dried ready to
be woven into Harris Tweed. Beautiful detail, must be seen to be truly appreciated. 41 x30cm
LOT 3. Astrological Nativity
Sue Hedworth is offering to create an Astrological Nativity (ie birth chart) for a new born or
small child. This would require the exact time of day and place of birth in order to calculate
the position of the planets (not just the sun) and their trigonometrical relationship, the
Ascendant and the mixture of elements and qualities (eg Fixed Air, Mutable Fire).
The chart would give an explanation of what these calculations mean in astrology, as well as
a full description of the personality and character of the individual as s/he grows up. There
will be no forecasting of money, health etc! The description will pull no punches, but will
always work to give a really positive slant to all traits.
LOT 4. Motorcycle Pillion Ride
Andrew Forsyth is offering one lucky bidder a half-day motorcycle pillion ride on his 1200 BMW.
The successful bidder may have to provide their own gear, but he has some spare equipment that
may fit.
LOT 5. Brinkburn Quartet
The Brinkburn Quartet (which includes Dennis Grieve) have played weddings, eight concerts
at Brinkburn Priory over the last three years, and also twice for the Alnwick Recorded Music
Society. They have also played several concerts at Dennis’s wife's church in Westerhope.
They have music for normal functions, as well as weddings. The players live in Morpeth,
Heddon and Westerhope, so it would be preferred that they would be playing reasonably
locally (not Barrow). They could play for a wedding, or a function, and, since half of the
quartet are now retired, a midweek booking through the day would probably be alright, with
enough warning to arrange time off for the players who still have to go to work. Queries to

LOT 6. Meal for 2 with a bottle of wine at Oldfields, Durham
An evening meal for two people at Oldfields Eating House in Durham. Meal includes 3
courses from their evening menu and a bottle of house wine after 8pm. Must be booked in

LOT 7. Personalised Composition
A short composition by our adopted composer, Michael Betteridge. He will set the winning
bidder's favourite (out of copyright!) short poem (i.e. up to 20 lines) for piano and voice and
get a recording made too. They would also get a copy of the score dedicated to them or an
individual of their choosing!
LOT 8. Two CrossCountry First Class Return Train Tickets
Two first class return train tickets from anywhere to anywhere on the CrossCountry rail

Leeds/York/Darlington/Durham/Newcastle/Morpeth/Alnmouth and Berwick and the lucky
bidder could get to destinations as far afield as Devon and Cornwall for a longer holiday or
head for a city break in Oxford, Cheltenham or Cardiff. Even places like Birmingham are
super for a day out. Here’s our route map and nice picture of one of our trains going along the
Dawlish sea wall to get people in the mood!
LOT 9. Cobweb Cabaret Ensemble with CD
How about having the Cobweb Cabaret Group play at your function? The Cobweb Cabaret

for concerts, private functions and events. The Cabaret Ensemble plays a wide range of music
to suit the occasion, from classical and jazz to popular and Latin American numbers, with
much of the repertoire especially arranged or composed by Andy Jackson, who directs from
the trumpet.
Previous performances include a concert in Hall 2 at The Sage Gateshead and playing for the
Friends of Alnwick Gardens and Beamish Museum, as well as delegates at the 2012 Making
Music Conference in Cardiff. The National Trust commissioned the Cobweb Cabaret
Ensemble to record Franz Lehar's Gold & Silver Waltz for a CD for visitors to Lyme Park in
Cheshire.
