APPOINTMENT OF
TIMOTHY J. REHM AS
SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS
The Moorestown Township Public School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr.
Timothy J. Rehm, as Superintendent. Mr. Rehm was appointed by the Moorestown Township
Board of Education on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, for a three-year term commencing July 1, 2014.
Mr. Rehm has been serving as the Interim Superintendent since February 5, 2014. Mr. Rehm is
an experienced Superintendent, who most recently provided leadership for the Cornwall Central
School District in Cornwall, New York. Mr. Rehm retired from his position in Cornwall and
now resides in New Jersey. Mr. Rehm has been an educational administrator for over 26 years
with successful experience as an Assistant Principal, Principal, Assistant to the Superintendent
and Superintendent.
Mr. Rehm welcomes the opportunity to continue to contribute to the tradition of educational
excellence with leadership focused on achievement, activities and athletics. “After serving the
Moorestown Township Public Schools as its Interim Superintendent for the past 3 months, I am
extremely excited to be given this vote of confidence by the Board of Education, and the
educational community to begin this tremendous leadership opportunity in such a prestigious and
highly regarded school district. I dedicate and commit myself to working with the staff,
community, and most of all, the students of Moorestown in continuing the excellence in
education that this community values so much.”
Mr. Rehm brings extensive administrative and teaching experience to the district. He served as
the Superintendent of Schools in the Cornwall Central School District for over nine years. The
district is a high performing K-12 public school district with 98% of graduates earning a New
York State Regents Diploma. His accomplishments included transitioning from a half day to a
full day Kindergarten program and supporting an outstanding arts and athletic program. Prior to
his work as Superintendent, Mr. Rehm was the Assistant to the Superintendent for the Garden
City School District in Garden City, New York. Mr. Rehm has served as an Elementary and
Middle School Principal in both the Cornwall Central School District and the Brooklyn School
District, and he began his career in education as a junior high school teacher of Mathematics,
Language Arts, and Physical Education.
