Parking around the School
There are still a number of cars parking and
stopping on yellow lines and pavements
around the school. This is very dangerous for
both the children and the drivers of other
cars.
We have had a number of complaints from
the public regarding parking.
There is a now a traffic warden who is taking
photographs of illegally parked and stopped
cars. Last week 11 people were caught
parking illegally. It is a £60 fine if you are
caught on camera.
Please be considerate when parking around
the school grounds.
Absence from school
Sainsburys Vouchers
We are currently collecting Sainsburys
vouchers. They go towards PE equipment,
cooking equipment and buying resources for
Parking outside school and government employees
lunchtime activities. The more vouchers we get
the more lovely equipment we can buy for the
children.
If you have any vouchers please hand them into
the office.
Sainsburys will be issuing them until the
beginning of May.
If your child is going to be absent please make sure
that you call the School before 9:30am. Please leave
a message if you are unable to speak to someone.
You should call each day that your child is absent.
This is to make sure that we have the correct
attendance mark on the register.
Please note that anybody who does not call in may
have an unauthorised absence mark. This may lead
to a meeting with the Principal, Vice-Principal or the
Education Welfare Officer to discuss your child’s
attendance.
Punctuality
Class Photos
Although punctuality is improving, there are still a
number of children who are arriving at school late.
Your child’s class photo will be given to them
this week.
If you would like to order a class photo please
return the envelope and payment to the school
office no later than 3pm on Wednesday 25th
March. We will be unable to take any payments
after this date.
Please provide the correct change as we are
unable to give out change.
The school gates open at 8:40 am, with lessons
starting at 8:45 am.
It is important that your child is here for the
beginning of lessons as it is very disrupting both for
your child and the children who are already in class.
All late children must be taken to the school office to
sign in. Access to the school is via Abbotts Road after
9 am.
Year Six Residential Trip
Last week some of our Year Sixes
went to the Kingswood Centre and
took part in activities such as Quad
Biking, orienteering, swimming, 3G
swing and climbing up huge ladders.
The children were all beautifully
behaved and a good time was had by
all.
