1- Good morning CNS. Today's Tue, Sept 18, 2012, and it's an A day. I'm __________.
2-And I'm __________. Good morning everyone. We hate to start off the day with a downer, but Star Struck
has been cancelled for 4th Block, this Friday. Due to the early date of Homecoming, there wasn't time to get
enough groups together, so again, there is no Star Struck.
1- The senior picture however will be next Friday, the 28th. Again, the senior picture will be next Friday, the
28th.
2- And since we're on the subject of the senior pictures, seniors: let's keep those shirt messages clean and
appropriate.
1- Attention level 4 and level 5 French, German and Spanish students: college credit applications for 20122013, for SUNY Oswego, are still being accepted until this Friday. Fill out the Online Registration Form by
September 21st.
2- Seniors: If you were unable to take the ACT exam last year, this is your chance to take it now before college
applications are due. The next exam is October 27th here at CNS. The deadline is this Friday. To sign up, go to
actstudent.org. Questions? See Mrs. Mack in the House 1 Counseling office.
1- Do you need volunteer hours? The Annual CNY Volunteer Fair is today, at Destiny USA, from 3 to 7PM.
For more information, visit the career center website under ‘Volunteer Opportunities’ or see Mrs. Deaver in the
Career Center. Over 50 local non-profit organizations will be in attendance.
2- Bishop Ludden high school on Fay Road in Syracuse is hosting its annual College Night, Wednesday, the
26th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Several colleges and universities will be there.
1- Today, Binghamton University, Herkimer County Community College, and Clarkson University will be in
the career center during lunches. Please get a pass to come down. Tomorrow, University at Buffalo, SUNY
Potsdam and SUNY New Paltz will be here. The schedule can be found on the career center website and on
Naviance.
2-Any students interested in becoming an officer for FCCLA should attend the meeting on Monday September
17th in room 237 at 2:10.
1- Anyone interested in joining Tech Crew, there will be a meeting tomorrow at 2:10 in the auditorium.
2- Attention Math honor Society Members: Our first meeting of the year will be tomorrow in B246 at 2:00.
1- A representative from Jostens will be here tomorrow and Thursday to take your orders for class rings. There's
a deposit due at the time of ordering. They will be in the student center during lunches and also from 4-8 p.m. in
the foyer area. Stop by and order your class ring!
2- The girls JV tennis team improved their record to 3 & 0 with a 5-2 win over West Genesee on Friday. Nice
job ladies.
1-Juniors: Mr. Root and Miss Lorenzini will be holding the first meeting of the year for those students who
would like to be members of The Class of 2014. There's a big year coming up with the planning for your Junior
Prom. Please come to the first meeting of the year in room 103 on Wednesday the 19th.
