ANNOUNCEMENTS
Offering Envelopes for 2016 are available at the Welcome Desk. You may sign up and
pick up yours today.
The Church Conference will be held Monday, January 4, 2016 at 7:00pm.
The MLK Choir Rehearsal will be held at Williams Memorial on Monday’s, January 4th
& 11th and Friday, January 15th at 7:00pm. All choirs are encouraged to participate.
Anyone who would like to sing in the choir is welcome. See Rev. Marlo Shoffner for more
information.
Men of Williams Committee will meet on Saturday, January 9 from 10:00—11:30 am,
on the 1st & 3rd Saturday of the month. If you have questions or concerns, see Harold
Noble.
Helena B. Cobb Day will be observed Sunday, January 10, 2016 by our Missionary
Society.
Help save a life. The Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Blood Drive!!! Saturday,
January 16, 2016 from 7:00am to 11:30am. Please allow a 56 days window in between
your giving. Come out and help us support the American Red Cross. For each pint of
blood given 3 Lives are saved. A sign-up sheet is in the vestibule.
The Carl Chavis YMCA is sponsoring “The MLK High Point Community Parade” on
Saturday, January 16th at 1:00pm. See the bulletin for details.
The Helena B. Cobb scholarships are available to tradition and non-tradition students.
This is a $200 scholarship that will be sent the schools. Please see Annie Scarboro if
interested.
The Male Ushers will celebrate their 9th Anniversary on Sunday, January 17th, during the
8:00am Service.
The Helena B. Cobb and P. Ann Pegues essay competition will take place at Williams
Memorial CME on Saturday, January 23rd at 11:00am. Congratulations to Camryn Briley,
Nehemiah McDonald, Robert Little, Malachi Smith and Brianna Webb. The entire church
body is invited to come and give support.

The Parking Lot Ministry is looking for persons interested in serving. The committee will
be meeting soon to prepare for the Martin Luther King, Jr. service to be held at Williams
Memorial on Monday, January 18, 2016. Please see Cedric Hale for more information.
Black History Celebration will begin with an evening with Ronald J. Jones and the A&T
State University Choir. They will be in concert at Williams Memorial CME on Sunday,
January 31, 2016 at 4:00 PM.
It’s HLI Time! Registration for the Higher Learning Institute will begin next Sunday. The
first session will be Saturday, January 30th at 9:00 am. Please see Rolanda Baldwin or any
HLI mentor for more information.

All Visitors of Williams Memorial are asked to fill out the visitor’s card in your Visitors
package and turn into an usher today.
