have to understand PeopleSoft product before we can really apply legacy work
Staffing- hire staff to take on work so you can concentrate
Need one techy person to oversee and coordinate,
part time help to take on stuff to free up experienced staff to work on PeopleSoft and legacy
conversion

CtcLink – Betsy Abts
Betsy is concerned that some administrators at some colleges aren't supporting ctcLink process
First Link live in February 2015
Wave 1 dates no announcement on moving dates 5/15 (could change)
Betsy's team will handle some training,
Colleges will come to SBCTC for some training by vendors
Admissions and transcripts are not considered critical for go live

Wave 1 was supposed to start work in cleanup activities in August, didn't happen
Each school needs a dedicated data person
DataExpress reports exist for epc codes and data cleanup
No college level GPA on new transcripts
Degree audit will continue to calculate GPA's
Lots of opportunities to review policies
If catalog says 2.0 college level GPA degree requirement, we need college level GPA displayed
Some inconsistencies in the way below GPA's are being calculated

BM 1001 fee code on first class they register for, additional courses not have fee code
Colleges can choose to be self support or state support
Need to figure out refund policy. CBC says last day to refund 100% is day before term store
This won't work with veterans getting housing stipend, completely online

Joan is retiring John Ginther is taking this on
NACUBO requested IRS stop sending notices for 2012, till long term solution is resolved
Last year IRS waived 2011 penalties in "good customer services"
Might have to pay a fine if we have the ITIN but didn't report it
Might have to pay a fine if we Incorrectly entered SSN but we had the right one
Might have to pay a fine if we excluded RS from reporting (IRS won't know we didn't report)

WSAC is supplying Dream Act students with SIDS that start 980.. Don't override any existing SSN with
that number

These students should not be excluded from annual solicitations for SSNs

This sounds easier than retrieving data from HP

Outcomes
Reporting completions in August not mid-September. This is a change for ctcLink
Pull transcriptions and completions one quarter in arrears. Year end in mid-September
Mis2 reporting preliminary - most problems are CIP and intent related

Most are in, some are more complex than others
Possible grid in the future of how we award credits, has to be applicable for the degree the student
working on
Residency update
Draft bill at governor to align state and federal expectations on residency. The federal bill cleans up the
"and" features in the state bill
Federal residency law goes into effect 7/1/15
Reverse transfer process
Meeting coming up soon 11 schools
Cc's will get lists from WSU, EWU, CWU, And WGU in a limited way
Smart Balance assessment tests in k12 will give placement for English and math. Running start students
who have to miss college classes to take test could miss college classes.
College bound scholarship lists are available

Transfer degree in fine arts (music, art, drama)

All basic skills classes need to be contextualized with job/career skills
