Profile:
In my second year of professional work at Baker Hughes as a Data Engineer. I am looking to further
my career within geology and the oil and gas sector offshore with my eventual aim of being in a
geology role onshore as this is where my passions lie. My experience offshore has meant that I am
capable of working well as a team member, have excellent problem solving skills and work well
under pressure. I completed my Data Engineering course in October, 2013 and am qualified to work
as a Data Engineer for Baker Hughes. On my second offshore trip as a Data engineer, I showed my
skills to think on the spot when none of our monitoring equipment worked and managed to get a
working system again, so I was subsequently awarded the Unit Manager position and two awards for
my work from Baker Hughes and TAQA. Before this, my research Masters in Earth Sciences has
equipped me with the knowledge to be involved in many aspects of geology and added with my
experience offshore has set me up well to grasp many areas of offshore operations and geology.
