General Instructions:
 The Candidate is responsible for uploading completed Form and any attachments to the candidate’s
account in Pathwaystoministry.com or otherwise providing a copy to the appropriate registrar(s) as
directed by the requesting registrar.
Create a plan and outline for an original Bible study based on a book or books of the Bible. The Bible study
may be topical but only within the context of a book or books of the Bible. The work you submit should be
guided by the following criteria.
Criteria for Bible Study:
1) This is to be an original work by you. You may use resources to assist you, but they may not be used
without proper credit.
2) Provide a purpose statement for the study. (What is the purpose of the study?)
3) State the context of the study. With whom will it be used? What will the class size be? Where will
the study take place?
4) State the time frame of the study. How many sessions will it take to complete? How long will each
session be? It is suggested that the study should be planned for a minimum of four(4) sessions.
5) Describe the method(s) of teaching. Is it to be lecture, discussion, etc.? If you would be using Power
Point (or a related program), please provide the electronic file.
6) List the materials to be used with the study, such as newsprint, construction paper, scissors, glue,
etc.
7) Give an introduction to the book of the Bible (or books of the Bible) used and describe the
book’s(s’) context.
8) Include detailed plans for the first session to show organization, content, materials, methods,
purpose, time frame, age level, etc. The remaining sessions can be outlined more simply.
9) Describe the method for evaluation of the study to be used by participants.
10) Provide a bibliography and list of resources used in preparing your study.
11) Length is to be no more than 10 pages, double spaced, reasonable margins.
