Proposed Amendment No 2 to Civil Defence National Emergencies (Information Sharing) Code
The Privacy Commissioner intends to amend the Civil Defence National Emergencies (Information Sharing)
Code 2013 and invites submissions on the proposal.
The proposed Amendment set out below would correct two numbering errors in cross references in clauses in
the code.
Submissions on the proposed amendment should be made in writing to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner
no later than 11 December 2013 and should be addressed to:

This amendment is the Civil Defence National Emergencies (Information Sharing) Code 2013
Amendment No 2.

Commencement
This amendment will come into force on 14 April 2014.
Note: The amendment commences on the day that Amendment No 1 (Temporary) expires.

Amendment to clauses 4 and 6(1)
Clause 4 and clause 6(1) are amended in the following manner:

Explanatory Note
When the Civil Defence National Emergencies (Information Sharing) Code 2013 was issued on 4 March 2013 it
contained two numbering errors in cross references. These errors were corrected by Amendment No 1
(Temporary) which was issued two days later on 5 March when the errors were discovered and before the code
commenced. The temporary amendment is due to expire on 14 April 2014. This amendment will replace the
temporary amendment and permanently fix the error.
