Sparrow Day 2015
David and I want to invite you to Sparrow Day at
our home in Breaks, VA. This is an annual event
that should not be missed. Put it on your calendar.
October 24, Sat. Dawn to Dusk
We will have snacks and a lunch, as in the past. Come early for a hot
drink and muffin and stay as long as you can. You may need to bring
a chair and if you have a special diet need, probably not much
healthy stuff served on this date. Menu will include soup and lots of
other things. Don’t feel you need to bring anything but yourself.
Large campfire will cut the chill and provide a great place to gather
round! Bottled water will be supplied. Kayaking will still be going on
in the Park and it is fun to watch. Come one come all…looking
forward to seeing everyone. Guarantee a casual and relaxing day.
We’re on Rt 631, Happy Hollow, Monarch Road.
From Richlands you travel to Grundy by staying straight on Rt 460. Continue on past Walmart and the Movie Theater and
remain straight and continue on toward KY. After about 10-15 minutes you will have arrived at Harman. When you see the
Spirit gas station you will go past it and then turn left on Rt 609 over the concrete bridge and then the railroad track.
Follow this road all the way to Breaks staying straight and over Bull Mt and into the Breaks community. Continue on about
2-3 miles and you will pass the golf course, road construction and top the hill to stop sign. Do Not turn left to the Park but
turn right and 0n around the curve. You will then turn right over a concrete bridge Rt 631 Happy Hollow Road. We live
about 1/2 mile up the hollow and we are the 7th house on the left. You must turn down a small gravel road/lane and our
house is a two story clay colored house. There is a wooden sign Monarch Road at the road where you turn down the lane.
