Explanation: (e.g. main issues for strategy, governance and impact).
Membership applications are checked for eligibility i.e. GMC numbers, proposers are members of
the BSR, category applied for is suitable and any discrepancies resolved by the Membership Officer
and the Honorary Secretary. These are collated on a quarterly basis for ratification by the Trustees
but are (currently) pre-approved by the Honorary Secretary and Director of Operations and
Resources for a shorter turn-around period.
