Call to Order
FBLA pledge
I solemnly promise to uphold the aims and responsibilities of Future Business Leaders of
America- Phi Beta Lambda and, as an active member, I shall strive to develop the
qualities necessary in becoming a responsible business leader.
WHAT IS FBLA?
Welcome to the premier business student organization in the world! FBLA is an incredible organization that
prides itself on being the largest student run business education organization in the world. Our members have
a wide variety of opportunities everywhere from competing in district, state and national competitions to
simply networking and making new friends. We will have socials, fundraisers, and other activities planned for
this year and participate in Contests. You can be a founding member of Tompkins High School FBLA Chapter!
Nationally, there are 250,000 members including middle school, high school and college students.
If you have questions about FBLA, See Miss Gillikin in Room 2514 or 2515 or Miss Jones in Room 2513 or 2516.

1. Application Forms – please complete and return before or after school by September 15

3. Officer Position – If interested in running for an office, Applications due Sept 15th
President – Vice President – Secretary – Historian – Freshman Officer
4. Open House – Monday, September 14th. Sign up to work FBLA table; student interest forms, answer
questions
5. T-Shirt Design -- Have an idea? Submit it to Mrs. Jones

Must have participated in District Competition and placed 1st – 5th to compete at State
6. National Leadership Conference – June 29 – July 2, 2016




Estimated cost: $1,000 per student
Must have participated in State Competition and placed according to FBLA event rules
