Graduating seniors are to be dressed appropriately, as outlined in the Code of Conduct Agreement, with their cap & gown, in the Ritchie Center’s large gym (Hamilton Gym), and in their assigned seat by 8:00 am. Important details will be given prior to the ceremony so it is important that seniors arrive on time. Once a senior enters the staging area the

Code of Conduct is in effect. Immediately following the ceremony, graduates will be escorted back to the Hamilton

Gym to return their gown and receive their diplomas. Seniors can keep their cap and tassel. Parents, family members and friends will not be allowed in the Hamilton Gym and can meet their graduates outside of the gym entrance. More information pertaining to the Graduation can be found on the next page.

PLEASE NOTE: participation in senior celebrations are a

PRIVILEGE and is voluntary. Before attending please note the expectations for dress and behavior and the consequences for not following these expectations.

Students will receive their cap and gowns during Senior checkout, May 20 th , once all fees have been paid.

Students will not receive their cap and gowns if fees are still due and will not be eligible to walk in the graduation ceremony if fees are not paid prior to May 27 th .

All graduation gowns are rented from Herff Jones, and graduates will be able to keep their cap and tassels. You may still order your cap and gown at www.uniquerecognition.com

Immediately following the graduation ceremony, graduates will have to turn in their gowns prior to meeting with

their families. They will not receive their diplomas until their gown has been returned. This is a Herff Jones policy.

Additionally, please be aware that we have limited time in DU following the ceremony.

We understand that graduation is a once in a lifetime event and how important being able to photograph your student in their cap and gown is. Seniors will have their cap and gown for a full week prior to the graduation ceremony for families to be able to take pictures. We will also have a very limited amount of diploma covers available to checkout for

24 hours through the counseling office for photographs.

Lifetouch will be photographing the graduation ceremony and you may purchase photographs from them. See enclosed flyer for more details.
