Boston University Study Abroad London – South Kensington, London SW7
c. £50,000 p.a.
Boston University is the fourth-largest private university in the USA with approximately 33,000 undergraduate
and postgraduate students. It was founded in the mid-19th century, and is today a major teaching and
research institution with a high reputation.
We are a major provider in the United States of study-abroad programmes, operating in 20 countries. Boston
University Study Abroad London is the largest of these, offering the opportunity of study in London each
semester for around 300 students from our US campus and from other universities across America.
We currently offer a wide variety of programmes and courses from our London headquarters in South
Kensington. These range from 15-week semester programmes, to short 6 week Summer programmes and
graduate and professional courses. In addition we run specialist programmes with a number of UK based
institutions such as the Royal College of Music, the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts,
Roehampton University and the Courtauld Institute.
Our South Kensington headquarters occupies a fine historic building, where we have excellent facilities, with
our own student accommodation within walking distance. Students take a full academic course load during
their semester in London. Subjects are drawn from a wide range of university disciplines, including the arts,
humanities, social sciences, communications and business topics with many students undertaking an
academically assessed internship as part of their studies. All of the courses have a distinctive British or
European emphasis and are taught by London-based faculty members. The academic elements are
complemented by a full social and cultural programme. The ethos of Boston University Study Abroad London
is collegiate and collaborative.
