A Mystery Island ~ by Lesieli
It was a rainy morning. When I got out of the car. I could feel
the raindrops on my hands and I could hear them drop on my jacket. My
name is Emily. I’m moving to a new house with my Mom (Jenny) and
Dad(Jim). After we unpacked we looked around the house. We first
looked at the rooms, there are three room’s the first room we looked
at was going to be my room because the walls were red and had enough
room to put my bed and things. The next room we looked at was my
Moms room because the walls were orange and that is her favorite
color. And the The third room well wasn’t exactly a room it was more
like a computer room, because well there was a computer and a desk
and it was cold, probably because the window was opened and you could
feel and hear the wind rush by and for some reason I tasted
strawberry ice-cream.
After we looked at the bedrooms we looked at the living room.
The walls were brown. And there was a huge window above the door,
and it started to get sunny. And there was a fireplace with black stone
tiles around it on the floor and an old lamp by the fire place.
After that we went to the kitchen. Above the sink there was a
window with floral curtains. The counter was made from wood and so
were the cupboards.
After we finished viewing our house my mom told me to set up my
room. I put my drawer in the corner and my Dad helped me move my
bed by the window and I put my mirror by my drawer and I put my
desk by my bed on the left.
My Mom said “Put all the stuff that you don’t need in the attic.”
“Okay,” I shouted loudly, because she was down stairs.
So I took all my old stuff up in to the attic. When I went up
there there was this old smelly chair. it was a very beautiful chair. And
the reason why I say that is there were carvings on it and swirls. It
had a carving of an eagle on it too.
“Dad, Mom come and see this chair!” I called.
They walked up stairs quietly.
“What chair?” they asked.
“This chair!” I yelled.
“Oh?” they whispered in a questioning way.
They sat on it then disappeared.
“No!” I screamed sadly.
“Where did they go?” I asked myself.
“I’m going after them,” I thought.
So I sat in the chair then I disappeared into a different place.
I saw a girl she had black hair. And a T-shirt with polka dots on
it, red jeans, and a ponytail in her hair.
“Excuse me do you know where I am?” I asked her.
“You’re in Mystery Island,” she said.
“In Mystery Island,” I giggled.
“Yeah,” She said.
“Whats your name?”she asked.
“Emily, what’s yours?” I told her.
“Marie,” She said.
“Is there a place I can stay?” I began.
“You can come to my house,” she exclaimed.
“Okay,” I responded.
We walked to her house. We went inside. There was a chandelier
on the ceiling too and the stairs were wood and had a velvet rug over it.
“You’re as rich as a million-air!” I said.
“Thank you.” she said in kind of a bragging way. ”I’ll show you
where your room is.” she said helpfully.
so we walked up the wooden velvet rug stairs(the stairs were very
long) and up to my room. My room was so big. It had a upstairs and
everything I ever dreamed of.
here”
“This is the guest room.” Marie said politely.”you will be staying
“This room is so cool!” I said in delight.
“Thank you” she said
“Come let’s go meet my mom and dad.” She said
“Okay.” I answered.
so we walked down the really long stairs and into the kitchen.
There were two tall people.(Marie was tall too)
“This is my mom and dad.” she told me.
“Hi.” I said in a sweet voice.
“Hello.” they said back.”Who is this this?” they said to Marie.
“This is my friend.” She said to her parents.
“My name is Emily.” I said.
“Can she stay with us until she finds her mom and dad?”She asked
“What do you mean until she finds her mom and dad?” they said.
“You know the chair.” Marie said to her parents.
“What chair?” they replied.
“...The magic chair!” She yelled.
“Ohh.” they said kind of quietly
