Arapahoe Quarterback Club 2012 Scholarship Program
The Arapahoe Quarterback Club (AQC) may grant registration fee scholarships to a player who, without financial assistance, would not
be able to participate in some off-season football events (spring mini-camp, freshmen orientation, summer weight and speed training,
team camp). The AQC scholarship program focuses on providing opportunities for Arapahoe Football Players to participate in offseason football events because of the physical, mental, skill, teamwork and character-building benefits these programs can provide.
Scholarships are only available to cover the cost of registration for these off-season events and are not available to cover any additional
costs (activity fees with Arapahoe High School, equipment, uniforms, travel, etc.).
Scholarship requests must be submitted to AQC no later than two(2) weeks prior to the commencement of the off-season event or, in
the case of the team CSU camp) one (1) week in advance. The Board of Directors of AQC will consider all complete applications received
by the application deadline. The amount of the scholarship awarded, if any, may be a partial or full scholarship depending on the need
of the applicant, the number of applicants and the amount of scholarship funds available. Applicants must be registered with AQC,
www.arapahoefootball.com, in order for their applications to be considered.
AQC is a non-profit organization with limited funding available for event scholarships. No guarantee of assistance is implied with an
application. If the number of applications submitted and approved exceeds the amount available; the scholarships shall be awarded by a
lottery system.
Requirements for eligibility:

Applicant must be registered with AQC

Commitment by player to attend 100% of the events in which a scholarship is requested

Participation by an adult family member in at least 15 hours of voluntary service to AQC during the football season. Volunteer work
will be performed under the direction of the AQC Secretary.

Application must be completed by a parent, guardian or head of household, with all requested information provided. Incomplete
applications will not be considered. The scholarship application is on page 2 of this document
Consideration will be given to eligible players meeting one or more of the criteria below. The more information you can provide us the
better able we will be to determine hardship. A written request is required.

Receiving assistance from a program such as: Food Stamps, Medicaid, SSI, Foster Care, WIC, etc. (must provide documentation of
participation in these programs)

Written recommendation by school representatives, social workers, community center workers or other social services
representatives

Documentation demonstrating financial hardship
AQC does not discriminate based on gender, race, class, economic status, ethnic background, sexual orientation, physical ability, or
cultural and religious background
Notes:
 Approval of scholarship does not register the participant in the activity
 One application is required for each event
 All applications are kept in complete confidence by the AQC Board of Directors
 Scholarship application does not guarantee the award of scholarship
