WEATHER AND SEASONS BOOKLET PROJECT
In order to practice your vocabulary on the weather and seasons in Spanish, your
numbers and your chapter 1A vocabulary, you are to complete the following project; and
present it to the class. Your presentation will count as a quiz. During your presentation
you may not read off of project. You may refer to it.
MATERIALS: Construction paper, plain white paper, scissors, markers, pencils, pens,
dictionary…
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Your project is to be prepared on plain white paper or on construction paper.
2) You are to use the following title on your title page: LAS ESTACIONES (the seasons)
Also, write your roster number, name, date and period.
3) You are to use a separate piece of paper for each season.
4) You are to label each piece of paper with the Spanish name of a different season.
5) You are to write in Spanish the three months for the season on the appropriate
season page.
6) You are to write in Spanish two kinds of weather that would be most appropriate
for that season.
7) You are to write in Spanish two activities that you like to do in that season. (use
Chapter 1A vocabulary) (Put your verb in the YO form.) Ex. En el verano me gusta
ir a la playa.
8) All writing is to be done in ink, thin-lined marker, or on computer.
9) You are to include no less than 8 small visuals (pictures, computer graphics, or
original drawings) – 2 per season, that depict the weather you mentioned or the
activities you have listed. Place the drawing next to the sentence that it matches.
10. Lastly, on the last page of your project, you are to make a calendar of your
favorite month of the year. Write all days of the week, and spell out the
numbers in Spanish. Also, include a sentence stating why you like this month
in particular. (use your dictionary)
Your project presentation will be graded on the following: following
instructions. Spelling, grammar, neatness, and creativity.
