Dear Families,
The Bike/Hike is quickly approaching and excitement surrounding this much-anticipated event is SOARING! Our annual bike safety assembly and
Bike/Hike pep rally was held last week, and a great time was had by all! Special thanks to Mr. Williamson for his contributions on bike safety as well
as the “SFA-ettes” who led us in the “Spirit Wars”! Thanks in addition to Ann Small-Wills for painting our Bike/Hike tracker on the cafeteria window
to allow us to track our participation in sponsorships and finally, Shannon Plymire and Kelly Jones for decorating our Bike /Hike trophy case and
providing a bike display to keep us in Bike /Hike mode! The next time you are in the building, be sure to check it out!
Fun is all around us, and I would like to offer a few reminders to ensure a successful event:

potential prizes. Checks should be made payable to Springer Family Association. We are well on our way to reaching our
sponsorship and dollar amount goals, so please keep getting those sponsorships and spreading the word about what a great
place Springer is!!!!!! Who knows that better than YOU????
Bike Hike T-Shirts will be sent home the week of October 17th. If you did not have a chance to order this special t-shirt, you
will be able to do so the day of the EVENT ONLY. Congratulations to the following families whose designs were incorporated
into this year’s special edition: Cotton (Carter), Huston (Gordon) and Plymire (Shane). Thank you to all families who
participated! What a special collaboration!! I would also like to recognize Janet Huston for designing such a special t-shirt
that represents so much more than just an event…thank you!

Volunteer Opportunities – It takes a village to make this event happen. If you would like to contribute your time in a
particular area (Set-Up, Trail/Lake Security, Raffle, Food/Grill, Arts and Crafts, Games, Clean-Up), please reach out to
Shannon Plymire at splymire@zoomtown.com Your time is much appreciated!

celebration in recognition of reaching our financial goal of $11,000. This is the Springer Family Associations biggest
