CCSS/GLE:
-Conduct an investigation that includes multiple
trials and record, organize, and display data
appropriately (SI-H-A2)
-Utilize mathematics, organizational tools, and
graphing skills to solve problems (SI-H-A3)
Bellringer: The students will complete daily bellringer
assignments using teacher created topics. (see below)
PS:
Students will utilize skills obtained in experimental
scenarios to identify variables, write a hypothesis,
communicate results and write an appropriate
conclusion.
Teacher Input: The teacher will orally discuss bellringer
questions allowing students to discuss their rationales.
The teacher will model steps to complete converting
metric units using the ladder method.
Independent Practice: The students will use text
associated workbook to complete section 1.3

PS:
Students should know the steps in the scientific
method.
Students will be able to determine what steps are
being applied using hypothetical scenarios
Teacher Input: The teacher will orally discuss bellringer
questions allowing students to discuss their rationales.
Review how to convert units using the metric system for
various units including time, temperature, mass, and
volume.
Guided Practice: The students will orally review and
discuss homework assignment Metric Mania. The
students will review and grade Content Section 1.3
