Dear Parents & Guardians,
This is the official launch of the 2015 Runnymede Club Championships. We are holding a full programme of
events with 4 sessions over 2 weekends – Friday 19th & Sunday 21st June and Friday 3rd July & Sunday 5th July.
The Club Champs are open to all swimmers, whichever squad they swim in.
The Club Championships are a great way of introducing our newer swimmers to competitions in a familiar
environment. As we did last year, we included 25m events for our swimability squad and our silver squad
members. There are no qualifying times for club championships, meaning everyone can enter. If you don’t
have times for your swimmers don’t worry, as I have standard entry times based on age and squad.
We also want to encourage our older swimmers and those compete more regularly to enter. With the
Championships being held at the end of swimming season, you will see how much you have progressed from
last September. This is an ideal opportunity to test yourself in different events, so why not try something
different?
The championships won’t run without parent volunteers. There are many jobs including timekeepers and
officials, organising the swimmers before events, announcing events and swimmers, collecting entrance money
and selling programmes and raffle tickets (all raffle prizes gratefully received!). If you are interested please
speak to me.
This pack contains the list of events per squad and age group, entry form, and schedule. All entries must be
submitted by Friday 22nd May. Any problems do ask, I’ll be around in the clubroom on Tuesdays and Fridays
during May, or use my email address below.

Swimmers should aim to arrive 15 minutes before warm-up starts. Once changed should head to the clubroom
and wait to be called through to the warm-up. No parents are allowed in the clubroom. Parents are welcome to
spectate poolside.

Seniors: All events.
Juniors: All events, discuss entries for the 200m butterfly, 400m freestyle and 400 IM with Julia.
Gold: All events, discuss entries for the 100m and 200m butterfly, 400m freestyle and 400 IM with Julia.
Silver: All 25m (silver) events, discuss other entries with Julia.
Swimability: 25m (swimability) events, discuss other entries with Naomi .
Masters: As you wish.
Under 8s can only swim the 25m and 50m events.
Under 10s cannot swim the 100m events, except for the 100IM.
