Purpose
FAMIC has been working on a joint
project with Oregon State University for
development of analytical method of
lolitrem B in grass since 2010 for
harmonization. Oregon State
University and FAMIC investigated the
determined values between
laboratories, in 2013.

Purpose
JVARM (the Japanese Veterinary
Antimicrobial Resistance Monitoring
System) has been in place since 1999 in
response to international concern
about the impact of antimicrobial
resistance on public health. In this
system, FAMIC has a vital role in
analyzing faecal samples for the
presence of antimicrobial resistant
bacteria in collaboration with the NVAL
and livestock hygiene service centers
which belong to prefectural offices in
Japan.
In the study of mobile rendering
system and related techniques
developed for prevention of epidemic
such as FMD, FAMIC developed the
method of detection of bovine DNA as
a marker of scattered rendering
product.
