To Glaziers All,
A one-day conference on the medieval stained glass in St. Laurence’s, Ludlow is being arranged for 25th June 2016, with speakers including Sarah Brown, Jasmine Allen and Tim
Ayers. This is part of that church’s fund-raising activity for extensive restoration of the glass which is to be undertaken by the York Glaziers’ Trust. The Ludlow Palmers’ Guild is organising it and the person responsible is Mr. Hugh Wood. As you may be aware, St.
Laurence’s is one of the twenty top-rated churches in Simon Jenkins book of The Thousand
Best Churches in England.
The WC of Glaziers has a long standing association with Ludlow, (some members will remember the visit there in PM John Watson's year), and Hugh Wood has asked him to make the Glaziers’ Company aware of the event and advertise it to our members. He will offer the discounted fee of £45 per person (normal rate £50) for the conference, including
lunch, to Glaziers who book to attend.
