Report to Parents 2013-2014
Overview of the School
Schools receive additional funding from the government for pupils who are on free school meals, those who have parents serving in the forces and looked
after pupils. This is called the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG). Prior to April 2014 the funding was £900 per child. From April 2014 the funding per child was
increased to £1,300.
Our allocation of the grant for our school was £7800.
Nature of the Support 2013-2014






Additional support from an experienced teacher for 0.5 days per week for 1:1 and small group support targeting maths and literacy
Lower teacher : pupil ratio so that class teachers can target maths and literacy for these children
Additional Intervention 2.5 hours daily by Teaching Assistants for PPG pupils focusing on those with additional needs.
Subsidised residential and school trips
Subsidised after school clubs
Education Welfare Officer visits monthly to support improving attendance
Achievements and Outcomes
This will be monitored through the year through pupil progress meetings, pupil targets and tracking. Results of Foundation Stage Profiles, Year 1 phonics
and SATs tests will inform achievements and outcomes.
