o All budgets must be approved by ORI if you expect them to be honored
 Scheduling
o Schedule any exam to be included in a research project through ORI, even if it is billed
as standard of care!
o You may call ORI at 274-2321 or email orisched@iupui.edu to schedule any subject scan
 Scan requirements for each type of scan
o Regulatory – IRB/SRC/Radiation Safety/
o ORI – study registration/protocol/imaging guidelines/site qualification
o Radiology – scan assessment (RECIST, etc), oversight, FDA annual reports for NM/PET
Additional Information:
Medicare rates are now in effect for IU Health system scans; this is not the case on the IU owned
imaging systems to date.
